Apple Brownies

An easy dessert, and oh so yummy!

For this you will need:

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
1-2/3 sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups apples (about 2-3 apples), peeled, cored, and chopped
2 cups flour
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350°.
In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in apples.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Fold into apple mixture.

Pour batter into a greased 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. The top will have subtle cracks.

Let cool before you cut into bars.

*Errol doesn’t like walnuts so I leave them out. If you like them, add a 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts when you fold in the apples.
