You’ve all heard of Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up? Well my husband Errol is as close to Peter Pan as I’ve ever found.
He has always been just a big kid at heart, and loves to play and tease. Our granddaughters are pretty much in love with him and his silly ways. Everybody wants to hang out with “Papa”.
Errol has quite the imagination, and you never know what he’s going to be doing next. At a family reunion in August, I notice he’s laying on the paved driveway, having his outline traced in chalk. The kids were doing it by just lying flat on their backs. He insisted that they were doing it wrong, they had to look like a dead body had just dropped there, so he dropped down to show them how.
He’s always the first one to try out new toys or gimmicks the kids get. Fake mustaches, dogs that shoot balls out of it’s mouth, princess sashes, or crazy straws, he’s first to try, and but not always in the way the toy was meant to be used.
Papa has the best ideas for fun too! Digging out snow tunnels, riding a panda at the mall, trying out tractors at the fair, or having a birthday party at Maine Coast Athletics. The girls loved the tumbling and trampolines there so much, that they’ve asked for their party to be there for the last 4 years!
Papa even took Aya to her first school dance, and Aly had her first hammock “ride” with him.
Whether you’re looking for someone to play with, or someone to snuggle on the couch with, Papa’s your man!
