When you have several children in a wide age range, it’s usually difficult to find something to do that will entertain them all.
My daughter Sam recently found something that kept her 8 year old, 4 year old, and 18 month old quite happy and enthralled.
Sam had acquired some free tickets to the Portland Maine Children’s Museum, tickets are normally $11.50 a piece, and thought that it would be a great place to spend a Saturday. The kids all loved it!
The children’s museum features a wide variety of interactive exhibits and activities for children of all ages and their families. The museum believes that through exploration and play, children are inspired to use their imagination and to discover things that they wouldn’t have otherwise.
Aya and Aly spent the whole day exploring the different exhibits and play areas the museum had to offer. They drove a fire truck, went on a boat, played house, climbed through a jungle gym, and rode in a car and a tractor, just to name a few.
Brookelynn enjoyed being free to roam around and touch things without a fear of her being hurt, or of her breaking anything. It was all there to be touched. She also was the only one to touch some of the animal and sea life they had there. She found the crab pretty interesting!
They had such a great time, but were exhausted by the end of the day. All 3 enjoyed a little nap on the way home.
