Hi, my name is Candy and I’m a wife, the mother of three, and the grandmother of four beautiful little girls, and one handsome young man. I started selling on ebay in 2007.
This blog was my son Tony’s idea. He thinks that there are people that would learn from my eBay experiences, so I’m going to give it a try.
I started on eBay in 1999 as a buyer of paperbacks. I love to read, but just find it so expensive to buy a paperback for $7.99, read it once, and then set it on a shelf never to be touched again. I found that I could purchase paperbacks that had been read once or twice on eBay at a quarter or half of the retail price. I then thought to myself “why aren’t I recycling my books too?”. So, it began; Candy’s Cupboard was born. First it was paperbacks, then clothing I didn’t need anymore, then great deals I’d find at work, and sometimes I sell things for friends and family. I have found eBay to be a great “yard sale” for all the stuff you no longer need, but you don’t have to cancel because of bad weather.
Here I’ll teach you about listing items; including taking photos, descriptions, pricing, and shipping. We’ll also dive into how to deal with customer issues, keeping accurate records, the different shipping services, buying supplies, and much more. Selling on eBay not only makes you a little spending money, but cleans up your no longer needed items, and it can be quite fun. If you treat it more as a hobby, than a job, it doesn’t become a drudgery that you have to do, but a fun task you want to do.
